Frequently asked questions
Do I need an account to report a concern?
No. Neither confidential nor anonymous reporting requires an account, a login, or any registration.
What's the difference between confidential and anonymous reporting?
A confidential report includes your name and contact details, which are shared only with the safeguarding team so they can follow up with you directly. An anonymous report includes none of that — you'll instead receive a private case reference and follow-up code to check on it later.
Will I get in trouble for reporting something that turns out to be a misunderstanding?
No. Reports made in good faith are always welcome, even if the concern turns out to be unfounded. Zimbabwe Cricket protects anyone who reports honestly from any negative consequences.
Can I report on behalf of someone else?
Yes. You can report a concern about yourself, your child, another child or young person, an adult, or a group of people.
What happens after I submit a report?
The Safeguarding Officer reviews it, takes any immediate safety steps, and assesses the risk level. See "How safeguarding works" for the full pathway.
Is my anonymous report really anonymous?
Yes — the anonymous reporting form does not collect your name, email, phone number, or account details, and case handlers do not see identifying technical metadata. Anonymity has natural limits if you choose to include identifying details in your own message.
What if someone is in danger right now?
Contact emergency services immediately — this website supports safeguarding case management and does not replace emergency response. See the Emergency Help page.
Can I report via WhatsApp?
Where WhatsApp reporting is enabled, you can start a report by messaging the safeguarding WhatsApp line. Sensitive details are still transferred into the secure case-management system rather than staying only in chat history.
What if I lose my anonymous case reference or follow-up code?
These codes cannot be recovered, by design — this protects your anonymity, since there's no account or identity to verify a recovery request against. You're welcome to submit a new report if needed.
Who can see my report?
Reports are only visible to authorised safeguarding personnel with a defined role in your case — never to the general public, and never combined with unrelated website data.
Still have a question?
Reach the safeguarding team directly, or start a report if you're ready.
